Today was my first run since I've been sick. I know that technically I only missed one day of running, but it felt like a lifetime. I didn't complete my full run; I ran 1.8 miles, which a few months ago would have been a huge success, but now it seems like going backward.
I've learned that at least half of running is in your head.
Today, I went out thinking, "I'll do what I can," and that's exactly what I did.
When my mind is strong and I go out with a good attitude, my brain can urge my body on. When I go out wondering if I'm going to make it, I never do.
Oh well, there's plenty more running days out there, and I'll do better next time.
