It's over......YAY!!!!!!!
I have finally finished the single hardest gig that I've ever done in my life. For the past four days, I've been doing living statue, outside, in the cold for 8 hours a day. We'd stand there for 2 hours, and then get a 30 minute break.
My feet are sore and swollen, my body feels like one big bruise, and I'm so thankful that it's done.
I wanted to quit so badly, but I just had to keep telling myself, "Four days and the mortgage is paid, four days and the mortgage is paid" over and over again. When standing perfectly still for two hours at a time, you can tell yourself lots of stuff over and over again.
Unfortunately, we did such a good job (there were 4 of us doing this), that they want us back again in August. I'm not sure I'll be up for it, but I'll have to weigh what my bank account says, with the 100+ degree heat.
Today, there will be a lot of couch sitting and lying down...I might have to leave the house soon though, but only to buy donuts to celebrate my wonderful morning.

ReplyDeleteI cannot even imagine how hard that would be. O.o But CONGRATULATIONS for you!! That's awesome. Rest up and enjoy your relaxation time. ^.^
ReplyDeleteYou deserve your rest! And your donuts!
ReplyDeleteI had a newspaper delivery gig to help support my art sales, and I hear you when you did the affirmation chant. I used to do that at 3 am while driving around in the dark throwing newspapers into peoples driveways. I am glad you got the mortgage paid. That should feel good.
ReplyDeleteWhoo hoo! Congratulations!
