The roaster (and I use the term roaster loosely), is basically a can in a holder on a tray. The beauty of it is that you don't have to use beer, you can use any liquid that you like!
I glazed the chicken with a bourbon glaze and used apple juice in the can. It turned out wonderful!
Now we're probably having our last cold snap of the season, just in time for me to use the leftovers to make some chicken and dumplings. Soon, it will be too hot to enjoy such a treat.
That does sound interesting and potentially delicious! Once I've got my blog and everything else that I've lost back, I'll definitely give it a try!
