I'm sitting outside of my mother's house right now, and next to me is a hummingbird sipping nector from some flowers. Though we have hummingbirds in Vegas, you rarely see them because it's usually too hot for them to venture out. The cat is wandering outside in the back yard, I have my coffee and life is beautiful.
My mom moved here after I graduated high school, so I never grew up in a place like this, but it sure is pretty.
Today, we're taking a family portrait (the first one ever, at least that I can remember). Then it's off to Powels (the most awesomest bookstore ever). I'm meeting a cousin down there who's in town from LA because they're filming a TV show in Oregon, that for the life of me I can't remember its name, and that should be fun too! She's head of wardrobe on the show, so of course she's a great person to go shopping with.
