Job Interview

I have a job interview today, for a real job...as opposed to my performing jobs which even though I make a living from them, I don't consider them real jobs. This one is for a Blackjack Dealer. There are a few places in town that have what is called "Party Pits" where all the dealers are females dressed more on the sexy side than your average dealer.

Part of me really wants to get the job because I really need the money, but part of me doesn't want to get the job because I haven't had to have a "real" job in over 10 years, and I don't really want to start now.

Another problem is that I can't tell them that I work as a magician. People tend to overestimate the things that magicians do with cards, and both casinos and players don't want magicians dealing for them. I mean, I'm sure if they search my name on the Internet they'll find out soon enough, but I can't volunteer the information.

So only time will tell what will happen with this endeavor.

  1. Ooh, good luck! looks like you'll have to do some slight of lips at the interview!

I found you on the etsy boards and now am following! I'm in Southern NV too!

  2. Good luck!!! Nail it girl :)
    (found you on Etsy forum)

  3. Sound like it could be fun. Good luck, I hope it works out for you!

  4. Uggh, I hate interviews. Especially for "real" jobs. Hope yours went okay :)

  5. Best of Luck :P

Take the Right Job Test and find out is your job a dream or a nightmare. Take the test and have fun. Enjoy!!

  6. Good luckish.

I know the feeling of wanting the real job, but wanting to stay at the job that is really flexible and allows you to pursue the things you love.
