New Item! Lavender sleeveless top.

Lavender Sleeveless Top
Yesterday I got my Lavender sleeveless top listed.  I think it's a great item for those that celebrate a more casual Easter.  The knit will keep you warm while the lack of sleeves will keep you cool as you hide all those Easter eggs (... um I mean while you help the bunny hide the eggs)

Free shipping anywhere in the US and Canada. International shipping is available.

Machine washable too!

New Item: Red Sweater

So, it's been a while since I added anything new to my shop, and I figured it was about time that I started creating again.

On Thursday night I added this Red Sweater Knit in Size 10 to my shop.  It's really soft, and I like the slimming effect I created with the ribbing.

Right now I'm working on a St. Patrick's Day headband with shamrocks on it.  I'm trying to make myself think ahead to the next holiday so that things will be ready. As it's a headband and not a sweater, it should be done soon.

Lost in Translation

So, I work with a lot of Russians, and sometimes, though they understand what's going on, they mis-understand the words...

Well, our manager had a replacement in for the first half of the day, and I thought my friend, Sasha, didn't like her for some reason. This was weird, since he always likes the lady managers. He kept calling her "crazy manager".

After a couple of shows, I realized what had happened. Here name was Gracie, and here he was trying to figure out why someone would call themselves crazy.

Sometimes I forget how close some of our words in English sound...

In Knitting Knews:

I finished making the Summer Dog Sweater. Now, if you are so inclined, you can buy a Human Summer Sweater to match your doggie one.

I know matching your dog isn't something for everyone, and the pieces are sold separately, but it's something I would do...lol

Finally Finished Sweater

This summer sweater is new in my shop today! Yes! My new Summer Sweater is now finished, photographed and listed!

What to do when it's too warm for a sweater, but too cool to go without one? A summer sweater is perfect for when the breezes kick up but without sleeves, you won't get too hot.

Next I'm on the fence on whether to do a matching doggy sweater, or to write up the pattern for this one. I like selling the patterns to things I design as the people who can make them are not going to buy one ready made, and the people who will buy one ready made will probably never make one.... but making the doggy sweater is just a lot more fun than writing up the pattern...hmmm... Hopefully I'll figure it out by the time I've finished all the chores I have to get done around here.

Take it off Tuesday! Deal of the Week!

...but first... Gibbs, the newest member of our doggie pack is getting along just fine. (can 2 be a pack? or do you need 3? I don't think the boyfriend will let me get another one right now). He's starting to get the sniffles though, probably a little kennel cough. The pound gave me a list of vets that will give him medicine for that for free... of course my regular vet isn't on the list, but free vet care is free vet care. It's part of the adoption program; they give them 15 days of free care in case they caught anything at the pound.

Now onto the sale!

This week, on sale, is this Pink and Blue Sweater. I made in ribbed and in a darker color at the waist to give it a slimming effect.

For today only, you can get 35% off by using the coupon code: TUESDAY. Of course, as with all the items in my shop, there is FREE SHIPPING anywhere in the US and Canada.

Set Complete

I've finally finished my scarf and hat set that I've been knitting out of recycled cashmere yarn! Today, I'll be photographing it and listing it. I love making things, but I wish there was a magic fairy who would take the pictures and put it on the site. I'm also going to be listing the rest of the recycled cashmere, which will be my first supplies listing.

In other news:

My Black Wrap Around Sweater made it into a treasury! It's the first treasury that this sweater has made it into!

Another Gig and a Sweater Sale!

Last night I had a gig at the Encore Hotel, which is the newest of the Wynn properties. It was for high rollers after their poker tournament. They came up to the most beautiful suite I'd ever seen, complete with a full view of the entire strip. They got to choose costumes for a Halloween party, and my friend and I were there to do their make up. I made up one guy to look like Kiss, a couple of vampires and zombies and one kitty cat. It was fun, and everyone there was extremely nice. Though I don't get to do make up very often (except on myself), it's nice to do it every once in a while.

This bolero jacket is 20% off! In Knitting News

From now until Black Friday, all of my sweaters are 20% off! As the weather gets cooler, I'm hoping to sell some of these so I can refresh my shop!

New Sweater and Bringing Back the Favorites

This pink and blue sweater can be yours at AllThingsTangled!
I finished and listed a new sweater at AllThingsTangled! It's knit in a super soft yarn that feels really good against the skin. I put the blue ribbing at the waist for a slimming effect, with the pink on the top for a nice contrast.

I'm also working on a cowl/infinity scarf. I love the look of these and I also love the versatility they offer. I thought it would look good in a nice, warm, chunky yarn. I'll post it when I'm finished...it should be today, but perhaps tomorrow.

Bringing back the Friday's Favorites!

In honor of my new sweater, the Friday's Favorites will be in the theme of pink. Tomorrow I'll be posting an etsy mini of some of my favorite pink items made by other sellers.

If you have a pink item in your store, post it in the comments, and check back tomorrow for the Friday's Favorites!

Submissions --GREEN--

Every Friday I put together an etsy mini of some of my favorite items made by other sellers...it's a lot easier than snagging a treasury, which I've been trying to do, but am never online when one is coming up. So every Thursday, I look for submission for a particular theme...

This week's theme is green. The color, not recycled, although green colored recycled is certainly welcome.

My green, is this Soft Ribbed Fitted Sweater made in a super soft yarn. You can click on the picture for a better view.

If you have green in your shop, post the link to your item in the comments, and check back tomorrow for the Friday's Favorites.

Something New and Something Blue

Corset Cardigan! Give a click for a better view!
...I guess I'll have to leave the old and borrowed to someone else.

I just listed (literally just a couple of minutes ago) this Blue Corset Cardigan! I'm so glad it's finished, it seemed like this one took me forever. I did have a good time making it, but toward the end I thought I would never finish it. You can click on the picture for a better view and to see all the angles.

Now I'm working on another entrelac scarf. They are so cool to make I just can't stop myself, and I found some nice wool to make this one out of, so stay tuned, it should be ready in a couple of days.

First I just have to say that all I need is one more follower to hit 300! Woot!

In other news:

I nearly had a heart attack yesterday (figuratively, so don't worry). I couldn't find the front left side of the cardigan that I'm knitting. This thing has taken me so long to make, the last thing I want to do is reknit a whole section. I tried to calm myself, and tell myself that I must have left it at the dressing room in the Venetian.

Well, I worked yesterday, looked, asked around and no one had seen the piece...*sigh*...so for the rest of the day, I had resigned myself to the fact that I would have to knit it all over again.

Last night I found it. It had fallen behind the couch. Thank goodness I had just cleaned otherwise I still might have had to reknit it. All is well, and all I have to do is finish the second sleave and I can start putting this whole thing together.

A day off...

This is what I want to do today!
...and all I want to do is lay on the couch and so absolutely nothing, unfortunately, I don't think that's going to happen. I've got to go to the bank, the post office, pay bills and list my custom order...I'm going to try and do this as quickly as posible so my transformation into couch potato can begin.

In other news:
One of my sweaters was featured in a blog! Please stop by www.handbagcave.blogspot.com and check it out! I'm so excited!

In my other career news:
The cutbacks have started now. They're cutting down our hours by 30 minutes, which doesn't sound like much until you figure all the people who work 4 days will not be elligible for health insurance anymore...I have my own insurance, so it just effects me money wise...they are also cutting one singer per day (from 6 to 5), and one variety performer which is what I am (from 3 to 2). We don't know what the schedule is going to be like until next week, so everyone's a bit on edge...I picked up another statue day this week to help build up the bank account before the June cuts hit.

Sunday Funday Video!

I'm getting really tired of the sweater that I'm making. I think I'm going to put it down for a while and make something else. I started on a scarf last night that I might work on today, but there's also a scrap crochet project that I've been wanting to make forever that I just keep putting off. We shall see, but for now the sweater is on hold...Since I'm not into it right now, I don't think that I'll put the love into it that it deserves, but maybe next week I'll be feeling it again.

Sunday Funday Video:
There are so many cat videos on the web. Some are boring, some are funny, but they all are cute...here is a compilation I found with some of the funniest cat moments...enjoy!

Tuesday's Tips for Etsy

Good morning! Another week has just flown by, and another tip is here already!
click here to find out what I think should be the most searched...lol
We are given 14 tags when we list our items to make it easier for buyers to find our stuff, but sometimes it's hard to come up with enough tags, or maybe we come up with too many. Well, google has a Keyword tool that will help come up with some of the most searched words that pertain to what you are selling. It's pretty cool! I hope you guys like it and I hope it helps you get some sales.

In knitting news: I finished one of the 2 custom sweaters I'm making. I'll start on the next one today. This one is a tad smaller, so hopefully it will go just a tad quicker.

Have you missed previous Tuesday's Tips? No problem, just click here to read the ones you missed.

Sunday Funday...and some knitting

Well, I'm almost finished with one of my two sweater custom order set. The goal of course is to finish it today. (Do I say that every day?) I just have the collar left to do on the black one and then I can start on the white one. I think I can get a couple of good hours in this morning.

This afternoon, I'm headed off to Circus Circus to meet up with some friends and watch the clown scooter in action! I'm going to bring the camera along, so hopefully I don't do something stupid like leave it in the car, and hopefully I'll have something to show you guys tomorrow.

...And I made another sale! Whee! Unfortunately, the post office that was open on Sunday has closed, so I'll have to wait until tomorrow to mail it...I'm really going to miss that post office...*sigh*

Even though it's spring, do you still find yourself getting chilly? And I don't mean with rice

Sunday Funday:
And now for the weekly Sunday Funday video...this one is all about Sheep Art!

Sweater!!!

This blue fitted sweater is now available in my etsy store
My new Sweater is finished, photoed and posted. I really like how it came out. I made one for myself years ago in red and I wear it all the time and get tons of compliments on it, so it seemed only logical to make one for the shop. If it does well, I might make some more in other colors.

Next I'm off to work on my first custom order. I'm so excited, I think it is going to turn out really great. It is going to look similar to my Diamond Scarf but will be made with a soft boucle yarn with a red/black mix on the outside and white diamonds in the middle.

And finally, my socks made it into a treasury!!! Please click here to take a look. I'm really loving the cashmere scarf that's also in it...so pretty!

Almost finished with another book, I'll let you guys know about it more tomorrow.

Ho Hum

This picture made me laugh
Not much going on today. I'm going to try to make a run to the thrift store to drop some stuff off. I finally cleaned out my closet to make room for the boyfriend, and now I have many bags of stuff to donate.

My sweater is coming along nicely, I've broken off the sleeves and now I'm working on the main body. I've recently learned continental style of knitting which has really speeded me up. It took a while to get the hang of, but I think it's well worth it.

And the picture today is simply something that made me giggle, I hope you like it.

Where should you go if you find yourself shivering?

Happy Sunday!

Long and skinny Zig Zag Scarf
Yes, I got my Long and Skinny Zig Zag Scarf photographed and listed yesterday. I'm really on a roll! Although now I'm working on a sweater, so that always takes me a bit longer than other items do. In fact, if you've seen the sweater in my profile picture, I'm making the same one, but in a country blue. I've gotten so many complimets when I wear it, I figured I should put one in the store.

I have about 30 more pages left in "The Gun Seller" by Hugh Laurie. I'm really enjoying in, even though I'm not a huge fan of spy novels...his humorous writing makes it all worth it. Also I just got notice from the library that my book club book is now in, so I'll be starting that real soon...I'll let you know the title when I get the book, since I have forgotten it at this time.

Anyway, I only have one show going on today, so for the most part I'll be doing laundry...even though I hate folding all the stuff, I really do like washing clothes...the reason? Even though there are other chores I could be working on while it's washing and drying, I use it as an excuse to read and knit...I figure I'm being productive by washing, I can be lazy in the process.

Here are some other things that are machine washable!

Also, please show some love to my sponsors!
