New Stuff! Green and more green!

I've kind of been on a green kick lately, and have finished and listed two new items. The first of which is a Bolero Jacket in green shades. Super comfy and super soft! You can click on the picture for more details.

The other item is Striped Fingerless Gloves! Also made from the same super soft yarn. I've seen lots of people wearing striped ones lately, so I thought I would give it a go, and I'm really happy with how they turned out.

As with all the other items in my shop, everything is Free Shipping anywhere in the US and Canada! And only a small fee to ship anywhere else in the world.

Well, now I've just listed a doggie sweater to match! Same soft yarn, same colors, and now you can match your fur baby! They are sold separately, just in case you don't want to match the dog, or in case you like the sweater and don't own a dog.

I'm in the process of making another one right now to match a different sweater in my shop.

In other news:

Here's a link you guys might like...Since we're on a cuteness vein today, it's all about a giant knit bunny that you can see from an airplane! Now that's something you don't see every day...

Sunday Funday Video and More!

Bolero Jacket! Click here for more details.
I finished the Red and Cream Bolero Jacket last night. I really like how the colors turned out together.

Then my boyfriend decided to give me an early birthday present...a manaquine torso! So now my manaquines have arms and don't reflect the light like my old one did. It was perfect timing...I rushed to take a picture of the jacket right away.

Sunday Funday Video!

Last weeks wedding video got such a great response...It reminded me of this one that was done a couple of years ago...Hope you find it "thrilling"...lol

Another day in Paradise...

I have to be at work early today because I'm doing the 10 am statue shift. After that, I'm finally getting my quit claim form signed...my ex is signing over the condo which we own jointly now, to me. It would have been done earlier, but with all the work I've been doing trying to stay afloat, I didn't have any time to look for the proper paperwork (which, of course, I didn't have) and then call the title company to get it.

Now it's in my hand, and after statue, I'm ready to go.

This Bolero is for sale, but there's a new one on the way!

In Knitting News:

I've started another Bolero Jacket. Since the Pink and Grey one seemed to get a lot of hearts and views, I thought I would try for one in a different color combination. This one will be in a warm beige for the body and the trim will be an automn red. The yarns looked so pretty together, I thought they might look good as a sweater. We shall see what the final result is.

The Waiting Game...

This bolero jacket could be your's if I don't hear from the buyer.
I finished and listed my custom order a couple of days ago, and convo'd the buyer...now I sit and wait for a response. I haven't ever charged someone for something before I've made it, even though others have told me that they do so because of this exact problem. I don't want to give up on her yet, so I'm going to wait a couple more days and then convo her again...of course she has no feedback, so I don't know if this is a normal thing for her, but I don't hold that against anyone because I've been several new etsian's first buys and I think that's great.

The listing was for a bolero jacket exactly the same as the original listing only one size bigger (a 6 instead of a 4)...So just in case I don't hear from her, and this is something that you might want, keep your eyes on this one and I'll let you know if it's open for sale.

In other news:
I gave up another magician day yesterday in order to do living statue...I hate doing this because being a statue is soooo hard and I hurt so bad after it's done, but it pays so much better and right now I need the money...and the money was pretty good yesterday.

Today, I'm back in my magic role which I feel the most comfortable...also, I just bought new shoes with super comfy insoles and so far because of all my day swapping, I've only really gotten to wear them for one day! I'm am excited to be walking on the cobblestone today in pure comfort.

Out to Sea...

Well, out to the lake really...

The boyfriend and I are going out for a two day trip on Lake Mead...you see, his boat is named "The First of May" and so he thought that it would be fun to take a trip on that day. Because of our schedules, we will actually be sailing back to Vegas on the First, but it will still be lots of fun.

There are lots of coves and stuff that we haven't seen because it takes a whole day to get there by sailboat...even with the motor, our top speed is about 5 knots (don't ask me what that is in mph, all I know is it ain't fast).

We're leaving Wednesday night, but cell phone service is suprisingly good on the lake, so I'll still have access to email and stuff.

This lovely green headband could be your's, all you have to do is give it a click!

New item:

I finally got my newest headband up and listed. I really like how it turned out, and I think the picture is so much better than my last headband picture that now I think I need to retake the blue one.

I'll be working on the bolero jacket today and if I don't finish it by the time we leave, I'll take it on the boat with me!

Other news:

Some of you regulars may have noticed something new at the top of my blog...yes, it's an email subscription. Save yourself time scrolling through posts and get this blog directly to your email. I know for me it can be difficult keeping up with all the blogs I follow, this is so much easier!

Book Review and New Projects!

I've been working on a couple of smaller projects lately. I finished a new headband in a pretty green color and am almost finished with a blue beret. I don't know if I'll have the time to list them today, but they should be up by the end of the weekend. I want them up soon so that I can get started on another custom order. The Bolero Jacket is quite a hit and this will be my third order for one...yay!

Book Review:

I just finished Losing Ground by Catherine Aird. I love a good who-done-it, but this one was quite dull and I was quite dissappointed. By the end I only sort of cared who did it...I can't say that I figured it out before hand, because I wasn't quite moved enough to try. Apparently there's a whole series of Inspector Sloan novels, but I think this one will be enough for me.

I'm also in the process of reading Birds Without Wings by Louis de Berniers for my book club. So far it's a really beautiful book, I'll let you know what I think when I've finished it.

Comment Question:
I was asked yesterday to post some pictures of the River Run...unfortunately I think we only took 2 or 3...When the boyfriend finally gets them off his camera, I'll post them.

I'm running a little late this morning, so this post will be on the short side.

I finished the custom order yesterday and got it posted and listed. Today I should finishe the new poncho...

Now I need to get to work!

Sunday Funday!

I'm almost finished with the second bolero jacket. There's a good chance I can finish it today and hopefully even get it photographed and listed. I really hope she likes them. Then I have 2 half finished projects that I really want to get listed tomorrow...it seems like forever since I've been able to put something new in my shop.

Sunday funday video:
Since some of the subtitles are a bit hard to read, I'll give you the lowdown. They've set up a bathroom with no mirror and a set of identical twins, one on each side, and it is so funny when people walk in and can't see their own reflection.

Books and knits and magic...oh my!

Interesting book

So the other day I finished The Dice Man by Luke Rhinehart that we read for my book club...it was a really weird book. A man throws away all his free choices to the whim of the dice and pretty much chaos insues. In the beginning it made me really uncomfortable reading it, but as I got toward the end, I began to see the humor in it. I would only really recommend it to those who like really strange black comedies.

What a cool beret! Don't you want to buy one for yourself?
In Knitting News: I started the second bolero jacket of the custom set yesterday. I was hoping to get the back done, but I didn't have enough time...and then the "Biggest Loser" was on (which I'm totally addicted to) and I needed to focus all my energy on cheering Tara on...I don't actually know her or anything, I just think she's going to win.

And my mom keeps gushing over the beret I made for her...it's the same one as in this picture, only green...she swears it doesn't give her hat head! I definitely want to make some more of these for next winter.

In Magic News: They added 4 extra sets in addition to my 6 shows, which is why I didn't get the back done on my sweater...at first I was kind of bummed, but there were fun people in the hotel yesterday and I ended up having a really good time...the sets are going to last for a month, so I really hope that fun people keep visiting Las Vegas.

Sunday Funday

This bolero jacket is still for sale, but you can also custom order one yourself!
Last night I got not one but 2 custom orders for my Bolero Jacket! I'm so excited to start making them and that also means...A trip to the yarn store! Very dangerous prospect for me, but I'm going to be good and only buy what I need...unless there's a really big sale or something.

I've also started work on a lacy top using recycled yarn! This is a first for me, but I'm really liking the results...and liking the fact that a took an ugly sweater (well, ugly in my opinion) and am turning it into something beautiful (well, beautiful in my opinion...we'll see how it turns out.

Sunday Funday Video!
I'm going to start a new weekly special! The Sunday Funday video! Every week I'm going to try to find something, sometimes old, sometimes new that will put a smile on your face...Here's the first installment:
