Mmmm Mmmm Good, and not so good...

Last night I made some yummy chicken and dumplings. The weather here isn't quite cool enough yet for it, but I couldn't wait. Everything always seems cooler when you finally get lower than the hundred degree mark.

My doggie, however is not so thrilled. I guess I wouldn't be either if I had to use the bathroom outside. Though she's six years old and potty trained, when it rains she reverts to trying to go in the house, so we have to keep a close eye on her. Luckily, here in the desert we don't get too much rain, so she's usually good.

Dog Sweater and Doggie submissions!

I've made a few sales recently, and I realized that my "doggie stuff" category is running really low on merchandise. So I stopped working on the human sweater I was working on and started working on a doggie one. I just added my newest DOGGIE SWEATER a few minutes ago.

You can click on the picture for a better view.

This one is made from recycled yarn! I bought a really ugly sweater, made from beautiful yarn and took it apart. There was a ton of yarn in the thing. I made a capelet (which sold), and now a doggie sweater. I think at some point when my "scarves" section is running low, I'll make a scarf out of the remainder too!

Submissions!

Last week's Halloween Favorites got one sale! Congratulations ShastaCreations...hopefully we'll get even more this week.

This week's theme is dogs! (In honor of my newest doggie sweater). Post any items you have that have to do with dogs...Pictures, clothing, jewelry, paintings, accesories...Let's see 'em all!

Tune in tomorrow for the "Friday's Doggie Favorites"!

Doggie Cuteness

Remember this sweater?

Well, now I've just listed a doggie sweater to match! Same soft yarn, same colors, and now you can match your fur baby! They are sold separately, just in case you don't want to match the dog, or in case you like the sweater and don't own a dog.

I'm in the process of making another one right now to match a different sweater in my shop.

In other news:

Here's a link you guys might like...Since we're on a cuteness vein today, it's all about a giant knit bunny that you can see from an airplane! Now that's something you don't see every day...

Almost Finished...

...with almost everything.

The halter top I'm making is the same style as this but with different colors and different yarn.
Everything is at that kind of point today where with just a little work it will be done. Only a few more rows to go on my newest halter top (which is similar to the one pictured here), only a few more pages to go on 2 of the books that I'm reading, and only a few more rooms to go on my cleaning...well...maybe all the rooms in that last one.

Cleaning is definitely my first priority today. I find a happy house is one that actually has a pathway from the front door to the kitchen. Our living room is full of tools and projects: my boyfriend's projects (for his boat and his newest airbrushing obsession), my projects (knitting of course), and my doggie's projects (she likes to build forts out of blankets)...and that's only one room!

I'm not going to make outrageous claims like, "I'm going to clean the whole house today!"...but at least making the downstairs presentable would be nice.

Tune in tomorrow for the "Sunday Funday" video!

New Things

Keep your ears warm with this headband, available at www.AllThingsTangled.etsy.com

Ok! So I finally got my new items listed! I wish I could just create things and hand them off to someone else to do the rest...Oh well, until the Keebler Elves are not so busy making cookies, I guess I'm on my own.

Anyway, The first item I listed was a Blue Headband Ear Warmer! It keeps your hair out of your face and your ears warm too!

Sometimes in the winter I don't feel like wearing a hat, but my ears will get really cold if I don't. That's why I think this is the perfect solution!

Knit in super soft country blue yarn, this cable knit headband will keep you warm and stylish during those cold winter months. It's nice an stretchy and should fit most head sizes comfortably.

This pink and grey dog sweater is available at www.AllThingsTangled.etsy.com

Then I listed a Pink and Grey Doggie Sweater! This sweater is perfect for your little one. It's knit in a baby pink with heather grey cuffs in super soft yarn. Bess, my lovely model, is a 7lb chihuahua, which will give you some idea of the size.

We made it!

I know, a mom is biased...but isn't she cute?
Yes 2009 is finally here!

This is just a quick check in because I spent all of New Year's Eve moving heavy boxes from my boyfriends apartment into my house...I'm tired...whew!

Please come back tomorrow for Friday Favorites!

I don't have a specific theme yet, so if you have a favorite item in your shop, please post the link in the comments, and maybe you'll be featured!

Too tired to do much today? Then spend your time here! All you have to do is lift a finger!

And as for the picture today...just a gratuitous picture of my cute little baby.

Just added Project Wonderful Ads...see the right side of your screen to bid on them!

Ouch!

I just needed some excercise, and now mom is sore
I'm sore today :(

Well, it's all my fault really...I had the "brilliant" idea to go running yesterday even though I'm totally out of shape. I knew Bess needed some excercise, and I figured I needed some too. It was probably good for me, and I'm planning on doing it again, but right now....ooooooooow!

Then, I made the big mistake of asking my boyfriend if he needed any help moving his stuff...Part of me thinks that I should have just waited for him to ask me knowing that he wouldn't...I hate moving, whether it's myself or someone else...and yet I'm really excited that he's moving in. Luckily, his last show today ends way before mine, so hopefully there won't be much to help with.

In other news, there is only two more days left in the Holiday Section Sale. When I made these items, I made sure to use the colors of the season, but didn't make it overtly Christmas or anything, that way, they could be (theoretically) worn all year round...or at least during the cold part.

Lastly, I made another treasury!!! Please click on it and show it some love!

Everyone please try to enjoy the last couple days of 2008...I know it's been a hard year, but I think we all have a lot to look forward to!

Start of a Wonderful Day

When I woke up this morning, I was tired and cranky...but this is normal before I insert the Coffee IV into my veins. As per usual, I went and checked my email next, and lo and behold....I had another sale! The Santa Doggie Sweater is now sold! Yay for me!

As soon as I finish my Christmas Scarf (which should be today since I'm performing at the Venetian and will be working furiously in between shows), I have an idea for a doggie party sweater. I can see it in my mind, but I don't know if it will look the same when I get it into the yarn...fingers crossed.

In other news, I have 6 shows today at the Venetian...unfortunately, I'll be playing a different role in them than my usual one because the guy who usually does it, is out of town. *Sigh*, no magic for me today...instead I'll be a giant marionette (I'm not big, but it's all relative) with a stilt walker controlling my strings. We will do this little bit five times today...

But what can you do? My mortgage company would be very upset if I refused...They have this thing about being paid on time...go figure.
