New Item: Grey and Green Socks

Grey and Green House Socks
Yesterday, I listed a new pair of Grey and Green House Socks. I'm really happy with how they came out, especially since I used a new stitch on the cuff with cute little bobbles.

I'm also happy with how the photos came out.  My boyfriend gave me cool lighting for Christmas, and I've been playing with it and the right backgrounds to try to get some good shots.  Now that I'm happy with the picture, I guess I'm going to have to retake a bunch of my less-than-beautiful pictures.

PS: The top with the new edging will be coming out in the next batch of photos.

New Sock Ideas 2

Well, I finished one of the lion socks, and then promptly ran out of yarn while making the second. You would think that knitting as long as I have, I would be a better judge of how much yarn is needed for a project, but apparently, that is a skill that I am lacking.

Instead, I started working on a new Faux Wrap Sweater that I recently sold. I knew that I didn't have enough yarn for that one, but I figured I'd go to the yarn store and get enough to finish both in one shot. It is so much easier making something for the second time, as there is less guess work and less unraveling to achieve the look you want, as I've already done it once.

Grey day, Grey Submissions

silver grey is perfect for the rainy weather.
It's raining here, which is really such a thrill because I live in the middle of the desert. When it rains, there's lots of flooding all over the city, so it's the perfect time to stay home and curl up on the couch.

In honor of all this rain, this week, I'm looking for your grey items to feature in the "Friday's Favorites" tomorrow.

My grey are these Red and grey house socks. Feel free to click on the picture for more info.

If you have any grey items in your shop, post the link in the comments and then check in tomorrow for the Friday's Favorites!

New Socks...Finally!

First of all, it's still not too late to make use of overnight shipping! If there's something in my shop that you want by Christmas, send me a convo...only $15 to mail overnight!

Now onto the socks:

Red and Silver House socks only $20
I've been so busy making custom orders, that I haven't had time to add anything to the shop for a while...especially socks. Last year everyone seemed to buy scarves, so I really stocked that section up for Christmas, and then only sold one. This year is all about socks it seems. I can hardly keep more than a couple in the shop at a time.

I just listed these Red and Silver House Socks, which I'm quite proud of. Of course they have free shipping anywhere in the US and Canada, but I can change the listing for overnight shipping if someone needs them by Christmas ($15 more)...just send me a convo.

You can click on the picture for a better view.

Now off to knit a custom beanie.

Penguins and Socks...huh?

Well, first the penguins...that's right, it's time for the Sunday Funday Video of the Week!

This one made me giggle, and I hope it will make you giggle too:

...And now for the socks
These purple and pink house socks could be yours...only a click away.
I finally finished this pair of socks. It took me a while because I thought I had more yarn than I did, and I had to order some more. You can click on the picture for a better view.

Now I have 4 pairs in my shop, which is fine for the moment until one of them sells. I'm fresh out of berets right now, so I guess that's going to be the next project on the list.

The Socks have Friends

Nice and warm house socks...go ahead, buy yourself a pair.
I finished my Pink and Black House Socks a couple of days ago, but haven't had time to post them. You can click on the picture for a more detailed description. Unlike the last pair I made, these ones I crocheted. They're super warm and cozy, and if by January, there's a pair that hasn't sold, I'm taking them for myself.

Right now I'm working on a custom doggie sweater, and hopefully will be finished with it by the end of the day. Then I need to make some more, headband/earwarmers to replace the ones that have sold.

Busy, busy, busy.

New socks!

Give these house socks a click for more information
Socks have seemed to be selling well for me this season, and last week, I listed a new pair of Green and Grey House Socks. They are so warm and cozy, and unlike the other ones that I have made and sold, these one's are knit instead of crochet. You can get a better view by clicking on the picture.

I'm now making another pair of crochet socks, and I have another pair of knit ones waiting on some needles. I ran out of yarn for them and had to special order some. It should get here any day now.

Tune in tomorrow...there might just be a sale or a rebate going on!

Money Monday!

Mondays seem to get such a bad rep. Well, not necessarily out here in Vegas where very few people actually start their work week then, but for most of the country they do.

So cheer yourself up this dreary Monday and buy yourself something nice, and even save a few bucks in the process.

$5 REBATE!!!!

Click on the socks for a better view!

If you treat yourself to these cozy Red and Green House Socks, you will receive a $5 rebate via paypal...They also have free shipping anywhere in the US and Canada and affordable worldwide shipping. How cool (or warm) is that?

...Or you can tell your friends, and maybe they'll buy you them for Christmas! It's coming up faster than you think.

Simply type "$5 rebate" in the buyers comments, and you'll get $5 back by the end of the day.

New Item! ...and more heat...

It's hot and stormy in Vegas right now. And I don't mean the good kind of stormy where it cools everything off, but it's just clouds and thunder and lightning, but the heat is still there. It's only 8 in the morning and it's already 90 degrees.

The worst is finishing up work and taking the parking garage elevator. There are stairs that face west (which make them nice and toasty), and an elevator, with absolutely NO ventalation...If it broke down, I have no idea how many minutes people would last in there.

The lowest floor we can park on is 5, so when I get lucky and park there, it's actually cooler to take the stairs...as you park higher and higher up, you kind of have to judge whether the heat you create walking up stairs in the sun in 110 degrees is going to cancel out not going in the elevator.

If I could live in Vegas but have the weather in Portland, Oregon, life would be awesome.
Give these socks a click to see more pictures!

In New Item News:

I finished my Aqua and Dark Blue House Socks. Since the pink ones sold a couple of weeks ago, I thought I'd make some replacements. They're so cozy...I have a pair that I wear in the winter over here (yes, there will be coolness coming in a few months), and they keep my feet from going numb on the cold tile in the kitchen.

I hope you like them!

Crochet and Randomness

First things first...I got my 250th follower for my blog...yay!!!!!!

These house socks are sold, but click on them for ones that are for sale!
In Crochet News

I've started on the Aqua House Socks and got the first cuff done! I should definitely get the second cuff done today at work and I'm hoping that they'll be done by the end of the weekend. They're going to look like the socks pictured here except different colors.

I think this time I'm going to recruit my boyfriend into taking the pictures. It's really hard to set the timer, run in, take the shot, go back, see that I wasn't in the right place, set the timer again, run back, take the shot, run back, realize that the dog ran through the shot, set the timer again...etc....hopefully he can cut my self posed picturing by half!

In juggling news:

I'm chugging along with the clubs. I need to redo my nails yet again, since the clubs keep breaking them. It's really hard to practice because even after dinner when it's dark out, it's still 90 degrees, so after about 5 minutes I'm sweating like a pig...(which really doesn't make sense because pigs don't have sweat glands.)

Getting there...

Well, since I haven't heard anything from the video people, I guess I didn't get the job...filming was supposed to be yesterday. Rejection at this job used to bother me a great deal, but that's mainly what my business is about, so I just move on to the next thing and I try not to think about it anymore.

My boyfriend and I are finally getting better (healthwise, I mean). For about a week, we haven't talked alot because we've been feeling sick and out throats have been hurting, so now that we're better, we can't shut up. I think I'm losing my voice now because we just talked, talked, talked all last night, kind of catching up in a way...It was really cool, and I'm really thankful today that I'm a magician, and not a singer...lol.

Don't these socks look warm and cozy? They could be your's you know...

In other news: I finished a crochet pair of fingerless gloves yesterday. They turned out pretty cool, but probably won't get listed until at least tomorrow. Now I'm working on a poncho (another crochet item, giving myself a knitting break so to speak). I've made one like this before for myself, so I'm thinking that if I love it, someone else might too!

The socks in the picture are still available at my shop, as well as many other things...go ahead, clicky click...you know you want to!

They're Hot!!!

Hot Pink and Black House Socks
...pink that is.

Yes, I photographed and posted my Hot Pink and Black House Socks. I think these are my best one's yet...and I'm also realizing, that the one's I made for myself a couple years ago are wearing thin, and I might have to break down and make myself another pair.

The Scarf is also finished, but hasn't been listed yet...you'll probably see it up there either late tonight or tomorrow.

Right now I'm making a beanie for the boyfriend...and then...I'm not actually sure what's going to be next on the list.

In other news, I found my book that I left at the Venetian. The title was Triple by Ken Follet. I'm really getting into it now. Someone suggested yesterday that it might be called "Pillars of the Earth" (you see I could only remember the author of the book I lost)...I have actually read this book and it's quite a page turner, and very different from most of his other novels.

A new week begins

buy this beanie and help me procrastinate!
Almost finished with the new socks...If all goes well they should be done by today. I hope I can get them photographed while it's still light outside because my workweek begins tomorrow and it's hard to make the time while I'm working.
Buy this skull cap and help me procrastinate!

In other news, they changed the show again! Of course, my act stays the same, that's mine to do and change as I wish, but the rest of the show has changed. On Saturday, throughout the whole show, I was being told, "oops, we forgot to tell you, your doing this now." Thankfully I was there early, because before, I wasn't even in the show until near the end, so I would show up late and get ready late...now I'm onstage at the top of the show...If I hadn't been early, I wouldn't have made it.

Keep in mind, I think all these changes are for the better, and it makes the show flow alot better. If you're ever in Vegas, please come and check it out. It's called, "Find Your Sexy".

My other goals for today are laundry and cleaning the kitchen. Of course I'm going to procrastinate just as long as I can before starting on these never-ending chores.

Help me procrastinate! I'd rather make a trip to the post office than clean

New Stuff!!!

Christmas Coasters
Brown knit beanie
So, my Brown Leaf Beanie is finished, photo'd and uploaded. I really like how it came out, though at some point I want to make another one in a lighter color so that the pattern really shines through.

I also finished some Christmas Flower Coasters. I really wanted to make these with the Christmas Crochet thread because I love how the colors pool around the doily.

I've already started on the socks...The cuff is going to be a different style than the Chrismas ones, but so far I love how they're coming out.

Now I'm off to help the boyfriend move the boat into his new slip. (It's not as sexy as it sounds) And then I have a special event at Lladro (a store at the Venetian) for their customer appreciation day. Customers get wine, snacks and entertainment while they browse...and yes, I'm the entertainment...I could be the wine...I'm very good at whining...lol.

Friday Favorites is back tomorrow...I think I've found some cool things :)

I can't think of anything clever this morning, but click here anyway

Ask and Ye Shall Receive

Christmas house socks
I got one response to what I should make next, and that was more socks...I love to make them, so that is what I will do.

I finished my beanie yesterday, but I probably won't have anytime to photograph until tomorrow...by the time I get home, daylight will be done, and I've found (and been told numerous times) that daylight gets the best pictures...The only part of my shop that I don't like to do is take pictures, but I guess it can't all be a bed of roses.

In other news, I've been busy collecting some supplies for a new trick I'm working on. I'm hoping to perform it at the Venetian by January (if sooner, all the better). Basically the trick is that I get a rose petal off of a rose and slowly turn it into an egg which will be cracked into a glass to proove that it's real. Once I get all the things I need, there will be a bit of rehearsal (another neccessary evil) befor I can perform it...I have a love/hate relationship with adding new pieces, they're a pain, but once I've done it, they really do breathe new life into the show.
