Take it off Tuesday - and Scarf it Up

It's discount time. This week's "Take it Off Tuesday" deal is this Orange and Black Entrelac Scarf. 35% off just for you blog readers. The coupon code it TUESDAY. And as with everything in my shop, all items have free shipping anywhere in the US and Canada.

Go ahead, and keep the winter chill off of your neck in your new scarf! There is only one available, so it's first come first serve.

In other news:

I managed to get out of the yarn store relatively unscathed. I got what I needed and then splurged on a set of needles. I didn't really need them since I already had that size, but mine were wood, and I prefer metal... one extra item is definitely considered a success in my book.

Most Hearted...Now on Sale!

This Rainbow Entrelac Scarf is on sale now!
Yes, it's been a while since I've had a sale, so I felt that it was overdue. I picked this Rainbow Entrelac Scarf because it was my most hearted item...55 hearts! As of right now, it's the only item in my shop made from this gorgeous silk and cotton blend yarn...it feels yummy against the skin.

Anyway, if you buy this piece today, you will receive a 5 DOLLAR REBATE via paypal! All you have to do is type "5 DOLLAR REBATE" in the message to seller and you will receive it sometime this evening (pacific time).

Christmas Scarf for Less!

Christmas scarf...you know you want to buy it!
That's right!

If you buy this lovely Red and Green Diamond Scarf you will get a $5 rebate via paypal! All you have to do is type "$5REBATE" in the buyers comments and by the end of the day you will have it back in your paypal account!

I love this scarf so much because the Red and Green say Christmas, but it's not so overpowering that you can still wear it all winter long! Give the picture a click for a better view and a better description.

Who says you can't buy Christmas things in the fall?

In other news:

The singing went well yesterday. I had 2 solos which was plenty for me...and I got to wear a pretty dress too! If I can figure out how to get the picture from my phone onto my computer, I'll post it for you guys to see.

Orange Sherbert

Click on the scarf for more info!
Who likes orange sherbert?

I'm not really a fan, but as a kid I always thought it looked so pretty...and so when I saw this yarn, it totally reminded me of it. That's why I made this new entrelac scarf (ok maybe it's about time I lay off the entrelac for a while, but I'm kind of addicted). I really love how orange can accent a fall wardrobe...I hope others feel the sam way. You can click on the picture for a better view.

I actually listed it on Wednesday, but with Friday's Favorites and submissions and stuff, this is the first opportunity I've had to blog about it.

Tune in tomorrow for the Sunday Funday video of the week!

Something New!

I just posted a new Entrelac Scarf! This one's made out of wool, and has beautiful shades of roses and coffee...Who doesn't love roses and coffee? (If you are a non coffee drinker, substitute coffee for chocolate in the previous question).

You can click on the picture for a better description and measurements and stuff.

I'm also almost finished with a new doggie sweater and have a couple more in mind to make. If time permits, I'll list it tomorrow....also if my lovely model can be bothered to pose for some pupperoni (note to self, buy doggie treats for the model).

It's my day off, so after a little computer promo, I'm off to take a nap.

Knitting stuffs...

I'm giving this scarf away, but there's plenty more yarn if you want one for yourself!
I should be finished with my friend's hat today. Just one more row to go and then to tuck in the ends. I'm giving her the Diamond Boucle Entrelac Scarf as a goodbye present. I wanted to make her a hat to match, since I have a ton of that yarn left, but it offers absolutely no stretch, and the hat was turning out so huge that it would have fit one of those Easter Island statues. So I had to go for a basic worsted weight white yarn...It will still look good though...I think.

Then I'm hoping to start on a sweater that laces up the front like a corset. I had to put it off, because I didn't have the right size needles, but hopefully I've fixed that and I can get started on it. It's either going to turn out really cool or be the biggest mess you've ever seen....we shall see.

Don't forget to tune in tomorrow for the Sunday Funday Video of the Week!

Dad...Day 2

This Merino Wool Scarf is still for sale! Buy it while it's still cold outside!
So we're at Day 2 of my father being in town. I'm running out of things to do with him here...he hates gambling, casinos, showgirls, tackiness and neon...And yet he insists on coming out to Vegas when I could just as easily visit him in Virginia...sigh.

I think today we're going out to Lake Mead. The boyfriend is working so we can't go on the boat, but it's a nice long drive and very pretty too, so that will eat up a lot of time...

Tonight we're going to see Penn & Teller...I need to double check on the tickets though.

And only a few rows of knitting got done...

On the upside, though, I did get a custom order...maybe I can talk dad into going to the knit store with me.

Inauguration, and New Stuff

So, I leave tomorrow for Washington DC, and what is really worrying me is the packing. I'm going to have to check luggage because I'll actually be there for a week (I couldn't get any flights out sooner). However, I need to go to the inaugural ball the day I arrive and with all the restrictions in carry on luggage, I'm afraid to pack my magic stuff or my make up in there and then have it taken away from me.

It's all so confusing. With the liquid ban, I'd have to stuff some of my make up and stuff in a ziplock bag, then with the magic stuff, who knows what they'll accept. My friend's snow globe was taken from her, so what happens when I try to bring my crystal ball through (I need it for the show that night). I'm thinking of risking it all and checking it through, because it would be much worse if they took things away from me for good. Eeek, I'm more worried about TSA then anything else!!!

Mint Chocolate Halter Top is now for sale!

On a happier note, I finished a knit halter top and listed it last night. I also have a new scarf listed that was reserved but now isn't anymore...I'm really loving how it came out!

The shop will be going on vacation tomorrow afternoon, so browse while you can!...and also keep checking back here throughout the week, I'll be letting everyone know how this inaugural ball plays out!

Back to work...

This is the entrelac scarf that's leaving home today.
Yes, I know today is Tuesday, but for me it's Monday...The start of my week. I'm performing at the Venetian today, and while I'm there, I'll hopefully finish my shrug. All I have left to do on it is the ribbed border. So far I'm really digging the way it looks and I hope other's do too. If the response is good, I might make another one in different colors.

In other news, one of my scarves is coming off the list. My friend has admired it for so long and with Christmas fast approaching, I don't think it will sell before the holidays. I hope she likes it!

That's about it for now. I've almost finished "Triple" by Ken Follet, and will probably be moving on to something new tomorrow...I'll let you guys know what I think.

Hurry! Save a scarf before another one goes away!

Christmas Scarf and Turkey for Dessert!

Christmas Scarf with diamonds of red and green
Yes! I completed the Christmas Scarf, and thus completed my goal. Now I'm ready for a nice hot soak in the tub.

Later on, I'm heading out with the boyfriend to have Thanksgiving with a bunch of clowns...no really...I'm not being insulting, that's what they do for a living...former Ringling Bros. Clowns to be exact. Afterward, we're off to meet my Vegas Parents (as opposed to the ones who gave birth to me and live out of state) because they always do a late Thanksgiving dinner. There will probably be less clowns there but definitely more magicians...and if you're a fan of the Showtime Show BullS@#$%t by Penn and Teller, you can catch my Vegas Dad doing the most amazing comb-over you have ever seen.

Now the bath is calling me, but tune in tomorrow for the Black Friday thru Cyber Monday sale.

What do you want for Christmas?
