Tim Burton Does it Again

Last night, the boyfriend and I watched Tim Burton's "Alice in Wonderland". I know it came out forever ago, but it's hard to find time to actually go to the movies. It was wonderful!

First of all, the film was beautiful to look at. I'm not always one who notices that kind of thing as I usually concentrate on the story, but this one really popped, so I couldn't help but see it.

Of course the story was one of my favorites since childhood, but I really dig the older Alice coming back to slay the Jabberwockey. If you haven't seen it yet (and I probably was one of the last people left who hadn't), then put it on your netflix list.

Famous Boyfriend and Something New

Well, not famous really, but it was still pretty cool. The boyfriend loves boats and movies about boats, so whenever I'm on netflix, I always try to find some random boat movies. We started to watch one last night and he said that it looked really familiar...he used to do a lot of extra work when he lived in LA and he said, if there's a barbaque scene in this one then I think I'm in it.

No sooner had he said this, but all of a sudden there was the barbaque scene and there he was flipping burgers! How cool is that!

The movie was called "Madison" and I can't tell you how good it was because I fell asleep halfway through...I was really tired and had a glass of wine, so let's not let this reflect on the movie's merrits.

In sock news, I finished the cuffs and then promptly left them at the Venetian...Duh!...So I couldn't work on them last night. I have to make a quick stop there today, so I'll be able to pick them up. I felt naked last night trying to watch a movie without a project in my hands...I couldn't do it, I started something new, but I'm not sure if I like it yet or not.

The movie? The new Lost Boys movie...Even if you liked the first one, I think you're time would be better spent watching something else...I know mine would have...but it's the boyfriend's netflix, so I didn't get to pick...He also wishes he hadn't picked that one.
