Free Crochet Pattern

American Flag Dog Sweater
I really want to get my pattern for my American Flag Dog Sweater up for sale, but I'm worried that the star I created will be difficult to understand in the directions.

So for this week, I decided to give the pattern away for free for those that want to try it out and give me their feedback.

Simply send me an email at SleightlyWordy@aol.com and I'll send you the pattern. I would really appreciate the feedback, especially on the star.

Thanks you guys!

New Pattern For Sale!

Summer Sweater Top Pattern I finished writing up the pattern for the Summer Sweater Top. It's a great piece for a beginner who has experimented with sweaters before. It is an easy pattern to do, if you are used to continuing a pattern stitch while increasing.

Stitches include: Knit, purl, yarn over, knitting in front and back of the stitch, purling in the front and back of the stitch, and attached icord (there are detailed instructions for the attached icord and also a you tube link if you need to see it done.

My pattern section is growing. You can check it out by clicking here!

All of my patterns come with permission to sell what you make, so maybe you'll see something not only for you, but for your shop as well!

Treasury News:

This week's TREASURY has 40 views and 8 clicks so far. If you haven't checked it out (or even if you have), give it a click or two to get this thing moving up the hot list.

Submissions in Pink!

Pattern comes with permission to sell!
Every Friday I put together an etsy mini of some of my favorite etsy items made by other sellers, post it on my blog and call it the "Friday's Favorites"!

Last week one item was sold!

This week's theme is pink! If you have a pink item in your etsy shop, post the link to it in the comments and tomorrow, check out the Friday's Favorites!

You can also nominate a friend's pink item if you don't have one.

My pink item is this Diamond Cable Fingerless Glove Pattern. Any purchase comes with permission to sell what you make!

Now let's see your pink!

Friday's Favorites! Make it yourself!

For this week's Friday's Favorites, I decided to focus on things that YOU can make. All of these items are patterns, and are all in .pdf format... that way they can be delivered straight to you, and you can get to work on them right away.

So show these designers some love and maybe you'll find something that tickles your fancy, or maybe you'll find a new project to work on this weekend!

Balloon Picture... And Submissions!

Showgirl costume made of balloons!
Alright, so I was able to get the picture off my phone of me in the balloon showgirl outfit. I didn't even need to ask the boyfriend for help as I often do with phone/computer communications.

As I said yesterday, it was quite a supportive bra top, and I didn't ever feel that I was going to fall out of it the whole evening.

The hardest part for me was keeping my stomach sucked in all night. I haven't been in a showgirl costume in years (balloon or otherwise), so it took a bit of getting used to.

Blue Chevron Fingerless Glove Pattern, for sale!
Submissions:

I was trying to come up with a theme that I hadn't used before, and then it hit me. PATTERNS! Since I've just recently (well, within the past few months) started posting my own patterns up for sale, I thought I would feature the wonderful world of them on my blog tomorrow.

For those that don't know, every Friday, I put together an etsy mini of some of my favorite items made by other sellers, post it on my blog and call it the "Friday's Favorites".

If you have any patterns in your shop right now (sewing, crochet, knitting, or anything else), post the link to them in the comments, and check back tomorrow for the Friday's Favorites!

Merry Christmas, Happy Headbands

I recently made and posted some new Headbands! I designed them so that it would have a cable stitch look, while being a crochet piece, and I really like how they turned out.

I also wrote up the Pattern for them as well. If you purchase the pattern, you have permission to sell anything you make. They are not hard to do, though the X pattern may seem a bit daunting at first, it is comprized of very simple steps, and if you take them one at a time, you'll find it easier than you think.

PS. I'm very excited about tomorrow's video of the week, my dad sent it to me, so be sure to stop by and see it.

$10 and under Submissions

By now, most of the Christmas shopping is done, most of the food is bought, and most of the money is spent. That's why, this week, I want to focus on items that are $10 and under.

Every Friday, I put together an etsy mini of some of my favorite items made by other sellers, and I call it, "Friday's Favorites". Today I'm looking for submissions of your items that are $10 and under...if you have something in your shop, post the link in the comments and check back tomorrow for the Friday's Favorites!

Last week there was one sale! Congratulations Failli and her Bella Donna Gloves!

Right now, all I have left in the 10 and under category is patterns, since my other things have sold. This pineapple scarf pattern is one of them... all purchases come with permission to sell what you make!

Friday's Purple Favorites...Plus a Pattern!

Purple is such a fun color! There were so many pretty things, I had to choose 12 instead of 8. I hope you like these picks!

Show these artists some love, or maybe find something for your next project...and don't forget, Christmas is fast approaching!

In other news:

I wrote up and listed my first pattern! The Purple Pineapple Scarf Pattern is now up and ready for purchase. And yes, you have my permission to sell the scarves you make if you wish.

Coming soon...

I've almost finished with another scarf and hat set. This one is crochet instead of knit, and I'm really liking how it is turning out. I've also been thinking that I might want to sell the pattern to this as well. This would be my first foray into selling patterns. I'm going to have to see how difficult it is to make a pdf file, and then start writing it up.

In other news:

Got my costume for the show now. I'm doing a run through tonight with make-up, costume and tech and hopefully it will go well. I have to do this thing in front of real people soon, so it will be good to make sure all of the kinks are ironed out. I can't wait until we finally get out of this rehearsal phase and start doing some actual performing.
