Think Winter...and Submissions

Well, it's official...out here in Las Vegas we are in the middle of a heat wave. It's supposed to be 111 degrees (no, I didn't hit too many ones) in the city and 115 or so out on the lake. We were going to go out on the boat today, but now we're rethinking that decision.

Sure we can jump into the water when we get hot, but we've also discovered that it's a lot more fun to barbecue than to be barbecued. My suggestion for the day was to drive up to Mount Charleston (it's about the same distance away as the lake) where it's at least 20 degrees cooler...it's either that, or stay inside.

Here's my doily for a little Christmas in July
***SUBMISSIONS***

  2. Great post! I'm trying to think winter, too, in the 90-something degree heat here in SC. I like the Christmas in July idea for a collection/treasury.

I have a green version and a red version of my Twin Rivers Scarf up in my shop right now...
